Gerry Christensen , founder and CEO of Mind Commerce, leads the company and provides oversight of analyst/author relations, commissioning, content licensing, editing, reseller relations, sales and marketing. The company’s ICT consulting and research practice provides insights and recommendations for successful business operations involving communications, applications, content, and commerce.

Christensen has a strong working knowledge in many ICT areas and considered an expert and thought leader in emerging areas such as 5G, AI, and IoT. For example, Gerry was selected by the 6GFlagship run by the University of Oulu in Finland to be one of the people to develop whitepapers focused on the "The Business of 6G" and “6G Networking” as part of 6G ecosystem development and R&D.

As a knowledge transfer agent, Mr. Christensen is often called upon to put complex technology concepts into more easily digestible information. For example, Gerry frequently opines about emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) and sixth generation (6G) cellular as per his articles written for TechTarget addressing “What is AIoT” and “What is 6G”.

In addition to his knowledge and experience in ICT, Gerry has broad intellectual property experience including patent submission and prosecution, portfolio analysis, and strategy development. He assists clients with intellectual property development, assertion, and defense. He provides patent analysis from both a technological and business valuation point-of-view including forensic analysis of claims vs. potential infringing products. Mr. Christensen is also an inventor himself with patents in his name.

Prior to launching Mind Commerce, Mr. Christensen co-founded Zoove, a mobile marketing company.  While with Zoove, he was the CTO, responsible for the overall technical vision and direction for the company, as well as product management. He was a key contributor to the business plan and fund-raising for the $60M start-up. Prior to Zoove, Gerry was director of wireless business development for VeriSign, which involved him in product management, business and corporate development. He was a member of the VeriSign M&A team acquiring three companies to fulfill company objectives in mobile messaging and content: Jamba!, Unimobile, and LightSurf.

Gerry holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Florida and a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University. He is the author of many technical papers about various telecommunications subjects including the published reports “Yes 2 Prepay” and “Data on SS7” as well as co-author of “Wireless Intelligent Networking” and "Mobile Positioning and Location Management".
